Coaching Overview – Altona North Bowls Club – Lawn Bowls

Attractive to new Members.

All sporting clubs including bowls clubs can become more attractive to prospective members by ensuring that they offer good access to regular coaching. Prospective members looking for a local good club are attracted to those that will provide them with opportunities to improve their game. By incorporating coaching into the range of benefits that are on offer to members, clubs can clearly build the value that members see in joining. Local clubs that actively incorporate a variety of coaching clinics and sessions into the regular sporting life of the club will generate significantly more interest than those clubs that don’t. Altona North Bowls Club has a well planned approach to providing coaching sessions and this is a great asset to our club and its members.

Clear pathways to becoming a better player.

We provide clear and well structured coaching pathways for our members. Players of all ages, and all skills levels receive a good start. Being able to demonstrate to new members that the club’s coaching programs can develop their skills and playing abilities is a clear drawcard for our club. We are fortunate that we have a number of excellent coaches under the directorship of Ken Taylor who are available to design and customise programs for different players. This will always give the club the competitive advantage.

Building Strong Competitive Clubs.

Offering coaching whether for social or competitive bowls adds to the value to being a member at Altona North. Members who enjoy the rewards of playing well will always get more out of their time at the club and therefore participate more in the life of the club. At Altona North good coaching helps build happy members and a stronger club.
